About Us
Born from practice.
Built for purpose.
We believe that great therapy starts with great therapists
At Therapist Centered, our groups are designed to help professionals refine their clinical skills, process complex cases, and grow in self-awareness.
Through structured peer support, therapists gain fresh perspectives, deepen their emotional resilience, and enhance their ability to navigate the complexities of psychotherapy.
Our values guide our approach & thinking
When supervision fell short, a new model emerged
Founded by Dr. Kirk L. Brink, a clinical psychologist with over four decades of experience, this organization was born out of a need for deeper, more structured support for therapists. Over the years, Dr. Brink has witnessed firsthand the challenges therapists face in maintaining their own emotional resilience and professional development. Recognizing the limitations of traditional supervision models, he envisioned a more immersive, collaborative approach that integrates group consultation and personal growth.
By fostering a community where therapists can engage in honest discussions, receive constructive feedback, and refine their clinical skills, our organization has become a vital resource for mental health professionals looking to deepen their practice and sustain long-term career fulfillment.
Training the Therapists of tomorrow
Dr. Brink has worked extensively in individual and group therapy, training the next generation of therapists and co-authoring Opening Hearts, Opening Minds: Therapeutic Group Consultation. His experience spans decades of teaching, mentoring, and leading consultation groups, equipping therapists with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of their practice.
Through his work, he has helped shape the careers of countless professionals, ensuring that the principles of ethical, compassionate, and effective psychotherapy are passed on to future generations.
